Holiday Pops Spectacular and the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra Winter Concert bring festive cheer to Sinfonia’s 20th anniversary season
Sinfonia Gulf Coast continues its 20th anniversary celebration with two beloved holiday performances that showcase the spirit of the season through dazzling orchestral sound and the inspiring talent of young local musicians.
The festivities kick off Saturday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Destin–Fort Walton Beach Convention Center with the Holiday Pops Spectacular! This cherished annual tradition features the full Sinfonia Gulf Coast orchestra, dynamic vocalists and a program packed with holiday favorites—from timeless classics like Winter Wonderland and It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas to contemporary hits such as Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home) and Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You. Audiences will also enjoy spirited performances by studio6Twenty5, the Holiday Chamber Chorus and surprise special guests. Tickets range from $40 to $75 and are available through the box office or online.
Rounding out the holiday season is the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra Winter Concert on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 5 p.m. at Fort Walton Beach High School. This free community event highlights all ensembles of the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra—including Sinfonietta Strings, Intermediate Strings, Symphonic Orchestra, and the After School Beginning Strings—from across Okaloosa and Walton counties. Each year, this performance shines a spotlight on the remarkable dedication and musicianship of the region’s youth. This season’s program includes favorite holiday selections such as excerpts from The Nutcracker and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride.
