SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8 | 2 – 6 PM
MATTIE KELLY ARTS CENTER AT NWFSC
Who’s ready to kick off another exciting Savor the Sound concert fundraiser, but in cooler weather and with an outstanding guest speaker? The Taylor Haugen Foundation has announced that Sammy Lee Davis, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient also known as “The Real Forrest Gump,” will speak at this event. It will be a patriotic party with live WWII era big band jazz from DownBeat Jazz Orchestra and Voices of Northwest Florida. There will be food trucks and local breweries on site in addition to a live auction featuring the Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary set, a Donald Trump autographed photo and an autographed guitar – details TBA. Join the fun Saturday, Oct. 8, 2-6 p.m. All tickets benefit the Taylor Haugen Foundation, thus raising funds to continue protecting youth athletes from abdominal injuries in the sports they love. Bring your friends, chairs and blankets, but please, no coolers.
To purchase tickets, ($20 per person; $50 family) visit mattiekellyartscenter.org.
