On Thursday, February 22, the Fort Walton Beach Vikings and Principal Lindsey Smith rolled out the red carpet for the Okaloosa County School District’s first Multipurpose Building ribbon cutting! Their band and chorus performed, their cheer and dance teams welcomed guests, their ROTC presented the colors, and the leadership students served refreshments! It was so exciting to see a space that will be available to all students on one of our high school campuses. This will be a facility that will support athletics, band, robotics, PE classes, theatre, archery, homecoming dances, ROTC, testing, cheer, dance and so much more. We can’t wait for all of them to open!
We appreciate the local dignitaries, School Board Members, Community Members, and Faculty who attended. Thank you, Jacobs-Titan and Lord & Son Construction for doing such a great job on the project, and thank you to the Okaloosa Voters for making this building possible with the Half Cent Sales Tax!
